New Home Median Price Drops 42% March 2010 vs 2009!The median price of new homes sold in San Luis Obispo County dropped a whopping 42.2% percent this past March compared to the same month a year ago!
The median price (the price which half the homes sell for more and half for less) was $309,500 for new homes this March 2010 compared to $540,000 in March 2009. In addition, the median price for new homes dropped an amazing $128,500 just from the previous month - from $438,000 for February 2010 to the $309,500 median price of March 2010.
Also, the sales volume of all homes sold in San Luis Obispo County for March 2010 has increased 19.3% from the amount sold in March a year ago. 207 units sold March 2009 compared with 247 units sold March 2010. Additionally, those 247 units sold in March are a noticable increase in total homes sold from the previous month of February 2010, when 170 units were sold.
